Breast lifting
For breast lifting there are many different methods. They mostly differ in the extension of scaring. Dr. Metka has command of all of them. Some intricate results may be realised by a sequence of two methods and therefore show less scaring than with one simple method alone.
If the lifting is moderate we may not need a hospital. Other methods require much more effort and expense as the operation may take four to six hours. Important is the extensive consultation with the surgeon in advance: should excess skin be removed totally or only the external layer. In this case the corium may be used for a “biological bra”. Or should augmentation fill the drooping skin and lift it that way?
One can also remove the excessive skin around the areola ( possible in local anesthesia) and the scar will be situated between the dark and light skin, where it´s not that obvious. Sometimes it is possible to work in the skin as well that an inner biological bra is created, that strengthens the skin. After three weeks with a bandage one can re-start with all daily activities.
When a strong lifting is needed, one might have to accept a vertical scar. It may dissolve slightly with the right treatments after surgery.
The third method is lifting by filling up the excessive skin, e.g. by putting in an implant to enlarge the breast, which makes sense when the breast is also too small. You should always keep in mind that the figure should stay harmonic.
