Beauty is not everything. On the contrary, beauty is a detail. One that allows us to enjoy life.
Who wants to enjoy beauty, art and life culture must not close his / her eyes to the misery of others. It is the responsibility of everyone to help, depending on his / her capabilities.
For Dr. Wolfgang Metka the privilege to be allowed to deal professionally with the creation and preservation of beauty implies the order to also take responsibility. For this reason Dr. Wolfgang Metka supports the "Lazarusorden", which he also joined himself.
Order of St. Lazarus
For years Dr. Wolfgang Metka has been supporting the order of Lazarus, where he is involved as a hospitalier in the charitable works of the order.
The order is officially registered in the Republic of Montenegro since 2007 as a religious organization based in Podgorica and is under the patronage of the French royal family. Internationally the order of St. Lazarus of Montenegro is with the Military and Hospitalic Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem under the 50th Grandmaster S.E. Jan Graf Dobrzensky, also under the patronage of the French royal family and in the Czech Republic as the union of believers according to the catholic canon law and represents their interests in Montenegro as well as in neighboring Balkan countries.
The focus of hospitalic activities lies in the psychiatric clinic of Podgorica, which was equipped with 15 wheelchairs for severely disabled and in the Caritas of Montenegro, which has received medical supplies such as surgical material, surgical aprons, dressing and incontinence material. Incoming donations are largely used to finance transport costs of donated goods from factories in Germany.
In 2013, shipments to Romania and Montenegro in cooperation with local church bodies are in preparation.
