Beauty is not everything — In the contrary: beauty is a detail. A detail that enables us to better enjoy life.
Whoever wants to enjoy beauty, art and culture could and should not close eyes in the presence of the misery of others. It is the responsibility of every person to help according to his/her means.
For Dr. Wolfgang Metka, the privilege to professionally be allowed to deal with beauty implies the duty to meet this responsibility. This is the reason for Dr. Metka to support the “Order of St. Lazarus” and join it.
Order of St. Lazarus
This order – the “Association of Knights of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem” – serves and treats gravely handicapped children near Trencin/Slovak Republic. Dr. Metka contributes as a physician financially and ideally.
