Surgery of the intimate and sexual sphere

The desire for a operation in the intimate and sexual sphere may have different reasons.  Most of the time it is an indication because of medical disorders – genetic or a disability related to ageing. Hypertrophied, asymmetrical or damaged labia minora (torn after a birth, for example) can be repaired. Ideally the inner lips are one centimeter wide and covered by the outer ones, which extends  harmonically to the clitoris. If the width of the inner lips extends more than four to five centimeters for instance riding a bicycle or sexual intercourse may be painful or at least unpleasant. In special cases a reconstruction of the hymen may make sense.

But aesthetic considerations may be relevant. A genitalia or pubic area, which does not meet individual expectations may well justify an aesthetic operation .
