Queen Peel
Queen peel is an intensive kind of peeling procedure which legally is performed only by approved physicians. By this procedure the superficial layers of the skin are ablated completely. It is more effective than any other peeling method and equals laser rejuvenation or dermabrasion.
This most effective method takes its time and effort: preparation time is 21 to 42 days, aftercare takes two weeks. Exact observation of the medical rules is mandatory: During all of the treatment – that is two months app. – no sun exposure is allowed. For one week after the operation no sun ray may tease the skin. This is the reason why the “green peeling procedure” preferably is performed from fall to spring, but never in summer.
Preparation
There is an individual curriculum to be followed during preparation time in order to achieve maximum success. Here it is important to take advantage of the vast experience of Dr. Metka as this makes the difference of little or maximum success.
Operation
The face is soaked with a specially formulated green liquid. For a minute the patient experiences an intensive burning sensation. After this long minute there is no more pain – there are swellings and crusts. Here again the physicians experience makes the difference.
After Care
For a week to ten days the face looks like after an intensive sun burn. But there is no pain. The crust crumbles away – and the smooth baby skin surfaces. For a few days the skin may be reddish which may be covered with a make-up. For the next three to six months new elastic fibers and new collagen fibers develop and tighten the skin. It looks healthier, the face appears younger.
Queen peeling may be performed not only in the face but at the neck, décolleté, arms, and legs. Some people have it every two winters.
